When is telehealth right for you?
Telehealth
- Follow-up visits
- Medication check-ins
- Minor symptoms when an exam isn’t needed (cold/flu, allergies, mild UTI symptoms, rashes)
- Discuss test results and next steps
In-Person
- Symptoms needing hands-on exam
- Injuries needing in-person evaluation
- Emergencies (severe chest pain, severe trouble breathing, heavy bleeding → call 911

How to setup for success
- Choose a quiet, private space
- Keep your phone steady (prop it up)
- Have your medication list ready
- Sit facing a light source (window/lamp) Use Wi-Fi if possible Join 10–15 minutes early to complete forms
Self-pay options are available for patients without insurance or who prefer to pay out of pocket.

Join Methods
Joining from your reminder link
- Open your appointment reminder email/text.
- Tap Start TeleVisit (or the visit link).
- Allow camera and microphone when prompted.
- Complete any pre-visit questions.
- Review and accept consent if shown.
- You’ll enter the virtual waiting room until your provider starts the visit.
- If you disconnect, reopen the same link and rejoin.
Joining Patient Portal
- Log into the Patient Portal.
- Go to Appointments and open today’s TeleVisit.
- Complete the questionnaire/forms (if shown).
- (Optional) Enter vitals if prompted (you can skip if you don’t have them).
- Run the device check (camera/mic/speakers).
- Accept the TeleVisit consent when prompted.
- Click Start TeleVisit to enter the waiting room.
Joining from Healow App
- Open the healow app and sign in.
- Tap Appointments.
- Tap your TeleVisit appointment.
- Tap Start TeleVisit.
- Allow camera/microphone if prompted.
- Complete any pre-visit questions and accept consent.
- Stay in the waiting room until your provider joins.

You must be seated and not driving during your telehealth visit. If you’re in a vehicle, you must be parked before joining. Do not operate machinery during the visit.
